Hunter's Karate Party............or Ki ai Party as Logan puts it!

We decided to have Hunter's Karate birthday Party a few weeks early so that the Chicago cousins could be here for it. We never get to celebrate our birthdays with them, so this was a big treat to have them here. Look at that cake! Hunter was so excited about his cake. He couldn't believe that Krista could make a little bear karate chop a piece of wood! It was very impressive! Thanks so much Krista! WOW........impressive!
It was really nice this year to have Hunter's party at the karate shop. All I had to do was bring a cake, presents and kids! It was a treat for myself especially considering this was the same weekend we had Kiersten's big eighth birthday party and her baptism. Needless to say we were busy!
Logan was just as excited about this party as Hunter. Hunter said Logan could wear one of his old karate uniforms that don't fit him any more. Logan was in heaven, we couldn't get it off of him all day or even a bedtime. Logan loves to go watch Hunter at Ki ai (a.k.a. karate).
Mr. Jones did a fabulous job running the party! He keeps those kids entertained with karate forms, games and so much more! The kids loved learning forms with their nunchucks! They even got to keep them.
Hunter got to be in charge a lot which he just loved of course.
Look at those karate moves!
Nice Kickin'!
Ki ai!
There is Logan and Hunter Saline enjoying hitting the bags with their nunchucks.
They learned blocks!
Gotta be ready for Mr. Jones to come and attack!
Make a wish! Happy Birthday Bud............we sure love you!
One of Hunter's favorite parts was getting to cut the cake with the Samurai sword and yes that is a real sword! Little scary when you six year old is holding it!
Hunter could hardly wait to cut that cake!
"This doesn't happen to me everyday ya know!"
This was Hunter's comment to me about cutting the cake with a real Samurai sword! Pretty big deal when you are turning six I guess! Hey I've can't say I've ever cut a cake with a Samurai sword and I am old!
"Look what I did Mom!" I was a little worried when Mr. Jones let Hunter hold the sword all by himself mostly because there were 15 young kids close by!
The kids liked eating on the table on the ground. The cake was seriously as good as it looked! They kids also had pizza and drinks earlier.
YEAH...time for the gifts!
Hunter made out like a bandit as usual. Thanks to everyone who came and joined in the fun!Hunter had a wonderful birthday with friends and family! We love you all!
Hunter with his friend Aiden Bingham! Hunter had a wonderful birthday and I enjoyed a little break from being in charge of his party this year!

Kiersten's Runway Birthday Party!

Kiersten had a Runway Party for her BIG Eighth birthday! It was a huge success. She invited 7 of her closest friends to come get made over and model down the runway all dressed up! Kiersten wanted a birthday outfit...........so we had fun shopping for one, just love my little girl! It's she adorable in her birthday outfit. She was so excited to wear it! We did Kiersten's and Aubrey's hair before the other friends arrived so they could see the two choices they had to choose from. It was cute because all of Kiersten's friends wanted their hair done like hers. She felt really special because of that!
Little decoration to mark the birthday spot. We have no landscape, but it still looked cute to some degree!
Kiersten and I (and baby boy due in a month) in front of the runway!
Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
We did the girls hair all glamour. The girls also had their nails painted with little sticker accessories! This is Kiersten good friend from school, Hanna. Hanna is being home schooled this year and that has made Kiersten bummed. But we still plan to invited Hanna over to play a lot. She is very sweet and Kiersten loves to play with her!
Hanna, Samantha, Maranda, Kiersten, Kaely, Raely
and Aubrey.
The only little girl that couldn't make it was Jaylee Powers because she was on vacation.
All the girls getting ready to make their own lotions. They had a great time choosing their scent and color and mixing it all up.
We had fancy sandwiches, veggies with dip, fruit kabobs with dip, and chocolate dipped strawberries. Kiersten and I had a fun time deciding what we show serve at her party.
All I can say is YUMMY!!! The girls Loved the food.
This is making me hungry right now! Heck being 8 1/2 months prego I guess everything makes me hungry :)
The girls just devoured these. Can't go too wrong with chocolate right?
Diggin' in! The girls up to this point had all been pretty quite. A lot of Kiersten's friends are shy and quite like she is, so I wasn't quite sure if they would warm up for the dancing down the runway stuff......................but BOY WAS I WRONG!!!
Watch out...........get these girls in some old prom dresses (I got from yard sales) and Holy Moly can they move! This is Kiersten and Raely Brown showing their stuff! We had fun music blasting over out stereo system which the girls loved.
The is Kiersten's good friend Maranda who lives next door. Maranda shocked us all with how out going she was once she had that dress on. She was like a Star and she knew it. IT was so fun to watch Maranda having such a good time. I told Tressie she had better keep an eye on that girl cause she has the moves!
Maranda really loved posing at the end of the runway for pictures and boy did we just keep taking the pictures. I think all the girls thought they were some type of stars, which they are to us!
Kiersten loving here party! She was so shy at first, but not for long. Her dad was glad he wasn't there to see his little girl shaking her stuff on the runway. They girls just LOVED coming through the tinsel!
Kaely Sue had the moves for sure. She was so cute to watch and really helped get the younger girls going!
Maranda couldn't get enough. I think she came out every other time and only let one girl go in between her turns. It was so cute of Maranda to be this excited and comfortable. She is just the sweetest, shy little girl, but she really came out of her shell tonight!
WoW gIrL........sTrIkE tHaT pOsE!!!
Raely's dress actually fit her perfect and she loved it! The girls all loved picking out their dresses and no one complained that they wanted a different one.
Hanna is so shy but she even got into strutting down the runway! She's so cute!
The girls started to do little routine together! It was cute to see all the crazy moves they could come up with! Especially knowing how shy most the girls are!
Maranda and Samantha. Samantha is in Kiersten's class at DPA.
Hannah and Kiersten shakin' it!
What a STAR!!!
Way to go girls!

Hanna and Samantha
Look at them go!
Beautiful dance moves Kaely! This was the first time we didn't have a huge family birthday party and even though those are fun, it was really nice to just do something with the same age of kids. It was so much fun I was actually sad to see it end! I know I am crazy about parties!
