"Gamer"

Logan loves to play the Monster Truck game on the PS3...........and so does Mr. Grant.
This dang smart little man even know when you give him a controller that isn't actually hooked up and playing..... He wants nothing to do with it and keeps trying to get Logan's controller until we just decide to put it on two players.......then he is content! Really he is only 13 months old.............YIKES!!!

Halloween Eve.......Trick-or-Treating

Since Halloween was on a Sunday we took the kids trick-or-treating on Saturday.
First we started off with a very healthy corn dog from the Taylor Freeze!
They were a big hit with the rabbit! and the rest of the crew for that matter. We had a fun filled night.......... the kids school put on a carnival at the Thatcher Park. It was a great deal of fun and the kids had a blast! After it was over we decided to go to a few good friends houses to trick- or-treat............this is my favorite part. Silly I know, but I LOVE walking around a neighborhood.........seeing other kids and adults dressed up...........having the kids ring each door bell.......I love it all! Tweedle Dum, as Hunter would call him, fell asleep before he had time to finish his sucker.........good thing he has 25 more in his candy bag!
The poor, poor rabbit was dripping sweat by the time we got him home and changed out of his costume. He fell asleep before all or the trick-or-treating was even over!
The Queen of Hearts didn't make the drive back to Wonderland either!
And Tweedle Dee almost got left in his Daddy's truck!
True Story....
Hunter had asked to go with Justin.......we had two separate cars in town because we had to bring the ride on horses to the school carnival........it was one of the things to do.
Anyway, Hunter asked Justin and myself if he could go home with Justin.
The other kids and I stopped to get a water before we headed home........so we ended up being about 20 minutes later getting home.
As Justin was helping me unload the sleeping munchkins........he asks, "where is Hunter? Did he go inside?"
I could tell he was dead serious..........I gently reminded him that Hunter had rode home with him...........
Which he followed up with, "No he didn't!"
At this point I am picturing my little Tweedle Dee scared and alone at the Thatcher Park or heaven forbid something even worse.
I ran to Justin's truck and open the backdoor to find my sweet Tweedle Dee fast asleep.
Glad Justin asked where Hunter was because I would have assumed Justin had tucked him in bed! Glad Hunter just had to spend 20 minutes in Justin's truck..........
All in all it was a fun filled night! Now someone needs to loose the candy before I get another sugar high!

1st Ever Cluff Haunted House

So for days and days the kids have RAVED about Grammies Haunted House.
Finally they talked me into letting them make a haunted house in the backyard.
Logan, Kiersten, Max and Hunter
as
ZOMBIES
They all loved getting their faces painted complete with real looking blood and everything! We needed a guide through the haunted house...... yes that is Justin as a quite scary witch!
I think Justin likes making the kids happy by dressing up!
You can't really see it but he has a witch nose on and everything........
he even practiced a scratchy witch voice!
I love my Witch Man!
The kids did a great job with their haunted house or backyard.
We had JP, Mac, Patti McDougal and Paige McDougal go through the haunted backyard.
Who knew Patti is a wonderful person to have go through your haunted house.........she is funny!
They started out being lead to what they were told was a persons grave.........once they were close Hunter and Max made those silly little piglets.......SCREAM in horror! I knew it was coming and I felt like screaming myself!
Then the were lead to the three scary witches and their scary noises.
Next they were off to find a killer spider in the Kings Castle. Kiersten and Logan were in the top level of the castle and threw feathers on the guests as they stood below being told the scary story of the Kings Spider. Once they walked around the castle the spider sprayed them with her web.........
Okay this is the moment I believe Patti McDougal might have peed her pants.........she scram like a school girl!
She was seriously freaked out............the kids were so excited about that.
Then it was off to the basketball court that was full of Zombies.............chasing zombies that it. All four kids acted like walking zombies and then started to chase after the guest with pretend hatchets.
Throughout the backyard was strobe light, spiderwebs and weired noises.
It was a huge success and I believe what will be a new Halloween tradition at our house.
Next year we plan to invited more guest to scare.........so beware!!!
The kids end results of their pumpkin carving..........they took two days to complete.
I think the kids were too excited about their haunted house/backyard that they didn't want to spend much time on them that first night.
Kiersten's.........Hunter's.........Logan's
Nice work!
And yes this is still "Frankenstein"............Logan never changed his mind about what he had carved!
The more you look at it the more it starts to look like Frankenstein.....
What a wonderful night of fun, food, laughs and screams!!!!

Halloween Fun with the Pryor's

We had a fun night with the Pryor's
Jack 'o lantern bread
They turned out so cool and were so easy to make.
My little Halloween decorations I love to decorate for the fall but I don't do a lot of decorating specifically for Halloween. One year I need to decorate Hunter's room with spooky stuff.......he would love it and he asks me every year. Our Spooky Halloween Cups and fun plates
Yummy Chicken Tortilla Soup........so delicious!
Yummy little pumpkin tarts
Heck anything drizzled in chocolate has to be good right?
Mac and I ......prior to eating way too much!
Spiderlicious Punch
Let the pumpkin carving begin!
Max McDougal, Hunter and Kiersten
Hunter has always been drawn to play with kids older then him and it's funny because they are drawn to him to. I would think the older kids wouldn't want anything to do with a kids a few year younger then them........Hunter doesn't think like the typical 7 year old and I guess that helps.
Mac and Logan
Mr. Grant in his spooky pajamas!
Silly Mac and an even Sillier Logan
I don't know who enjoyed cleaning out the goo from the pumpkin more....Mac or Logan?
What a cute Little Man!
These two truly enjoyed cleaning the gunk out of their pumpkins!
Boys will be boys!
Sweet Kiersten
Logan has been wearing this Indian costume for days. We took some fun Pilgrim and Indian pictures (thanks Amy for the idea).
Wow nice job boys!
JP and Justin finally came home from work to join in the fun.
JP was hilarious with Max. He kept saying, "now who is your dad Max?"
When Max responded with, "Dan McDougal"...JP would say hysterically........"No Way..........The Dan McDougal........You Mean DAN THE MAN!"
JP is so funny........I am not sure Max knew what to do.
Kiersten picked a very detail skull to carve into her pumpkin.
She loves a challenge!
Max's and Hunter's
It was so cute.........anytime some one asked Logan what he carved he would say, "It's Frankenstein!"
EVERY TIME his carving was never anything besides.."Frankenstein!"

Well It's Not Quite "Wonderland" Around Here...

....but we did have an Alice around for awhile!
Every year we dress up as a family.....so far we have done it as a family theme, not sure how many more years the kids will let us do this, but I really enjoy it!
Halloween is Justin's brother Doyle's birthday, and as he is no longer with us on this earth we feel one way we can help make his birthday special is by dressing up together as a family.
Doyle would have loved it! He was such a fun guy, just full of personality and character!
I ended up being Alice in Wonderland because Kiersten found a Queen of Hearts costume that she LOVED........so you do what ya gotta do!
Justin was thrilled to be a card...the King of Hearts of course! He really doesn't mind dressing up, but was happy for it to be a simple costume. Mac took these pictures for us in my studio and she insisted on having Justin wear red lipstick like the rest of us.........he is such a good sport he didn't say a word! Fuuny story...... When I was talking with the kids, oh probably back in July about what they wanted to be this year of Halloween, i mentioned the idea of Alice in Wonderland and that I had found some awesome Tweeddle Dee and Tweedle Dum costumes on eBay. Hunter's very first words were..."well okay mom that's fine with me..........BUT I am Tweedle Dee and Logan is Tweedle Dum!" Man he is quick! So I got the boys costumes for $10 a piece on eBay.....pretty happy about that find! The kids wanted to pose fun and I thought they did a great job without having any instructions!
Man are these some of the cutest kids or what?
Mr. Grant was the cutest rabbit.........the kids tried hard to teach him his line, "I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date..." but it didn't quite happen!
Alice..sure loves her King of Hearts!
Oooohhhh Alice....
and the rest of the story is history!
I loved this years costumes......... Happy Halloween
