Straight from Hogwarts

We came straight from Hogwarts to do some trick-or-treating this year!

Harry Potter and his crew complete with Hedwig his owl.  And what a cute owl he was!

The kids loved making their own wands to complete our outfits.  Thank you Pinterest!

I think they turned out great!

The boys decided they both wanted to dress up in other costumes for their school parade.
Logan was a spooky skeleton.

Hunter is a funny kid!  He decided to be Santa Claus.....everyone got a kick out of that!

I love that the DPA staff always dress up in theme!
This year it was Alice in Wonderland!
Don't they all look awesome!

This year we were luck to have the Paull family join us for trick-or-treating!  We are so happy they moved into our neighborhood.  Mr. Grant has a best buddy now......Jack Paull!  They are too cute together and play so well.  It's been super nice!  They are such a fun family.  Angela Paull is actually a sister to our good friend Josh Goodman....so it's been fun to get acquainted with her.

Kiersten and I helped decorate her school haunted house earlier in the afternoon.  Then we all headed over to Quail Ridge.

Hedwig was in heaven with Olivia.  He sure loves Liv!

We learned that Hedwig might be an owl but he's not a night owl!  This little guy fell asleep around 7:00 when we loaded in the car to head to a different neighborhood.  We always have to make it by Debbie's house and Sandra Smith's house.  The kids love it..........they both are too good to my kids and give them special treats.  It's a highlight added to the already fun night of trick-or-treating.
It was a great night!
After enough trick-or-treating we made it to the Halloween carnival at Kiersten's school.  We were able to make it through the haunted house.

Grammy's Halloween Party

My fabulous mother-in-law has thrown her birthday Halloween party for years now.
It is a high light of our month for sure!

We were Harry Potter characters this year.  Doesn't Hunter make the perfect Harry Potter?

Brian and Tif's family made some sweet rockers!
They are one ROCKIN' family for sure!

The Brogan's were Super Heroes.
Love that Hulk!
They are a pretty SUPER family!

Thor was guarding the witches brew........a.k.a Home made Root Beer.
I always love the dry ice effect.

Grammy and Grampy were Ruby and Max.
That's the most requested cartoon at their house.

Cameron's family is adorable!
We were so glad they came!

The Cat Soup was oh so yummy! It almost tasted like potato soup there for a minute.

I love all the details my mother-in-law goes to.  Sure makes her party amazing!

Grandparents with all their grand kids.  I didn't get a picture of Amy's family.  They were dressed up as CKC workers..........she was announcing being pregnant with baby #7.  Such a cute idea.........she had signs that said, "Bump Ahead."
Good thing Amy has built in nanny's that live right next door, that take care of her kids everyday or I would feel sorry for her.
We like those Curtis kids so were are happy about another one.

What creative costumes Kristen had this year.
I have never seen such cute cupcakes in my life!
They are defiantly a sweet family!

After everyone got pictures take and we ate dinner it was time for crafts.

The kids always look forward to what they get to make at Grammy's party.

Having fun...........especially once they knew that the container they were decorating were to hold candy in.

The kids did great making their crafts!

Grammy's candy shop did not disappoint....

I am not a kid but I LOVED this!
So you can imagine what the kids thought of it!

The kids got to fill their cute containers up with what ever candy they wanted.
Yeah she pretty much gets Grammy of the Year!

It was a great evening full of yummy food and lots of fun!
I didn't get any pictures but Grammy's Haunted House this year was To Die For!
It was scary if you ask me.  I loved getting to scare the kids............bwahahahah kind of the high light for us adults I must say!
It was through out one side of the basement and was awesome!
So grateful for my sweet mother-in-law and all the over the top things she does to make great memories for her grand children.  It's her birthday party and man does she throw an outstanding party!
Happy Birthday Mom!
We Love You and we always LOVE your party!!!

Halloween Time Fun

This begins my favorite months of the year.....the holiday season!

Our Halloween shirt tradition!
Mr. Grant was so excited about his Halloween Mickey Mouse shirt......this kid loves Mickey Mouse Club House!

This is a true picture of my monsters in action!

Of course we had to have a FHE of carving pumpkins.  Our family night this year is on Sundays because Mondays are too busy.
This night Mr. Grant fell asleep early so he missed out.  We decided this year to just let the kids free hand carve the pumkpins.....no templates to have to follow.  Made it easier for mom and dad!

Kiersten was seriously hysterical about the pumpkin seed and goop!  She finally talked her dad into cleaning out her pumpkin for her.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture!!!
I believe any drama that comes out of Kiersten comes from his genes!  Wouldn't you agree?

He really put on a show!  Made my night......he makes me laugh!

Hunter was determined to not have help cutting out his top.....

Boy was he thrilled when he got it out!!!

It was a fun night with our kids!

Great job Kiersten......she gave her pumpkin dimples.

Scary mouth Logan!

Hunter began the night very ambitious trying to carve a car into his pumpkin.....he ended up carving a face on the other side.  It is pretty tricky getting your carving to actually keep it's shape.  But great job being a good sport when the car wasn't turning out!

What a welcoming sight on our front porch....

Hunter decided our porch needed a little frightful sight for Halloween night!
He made the dummy of himself but headless of course.....it's Halloween after all!

Apple Annie's

So it was time for the annual trip to Apple Annie's with the boys school.  This is the 5th year I have volunteered to be a driver and I love it!

Nathan, Ryker and Logan
Better know as the Three Musketeers!

I was lucky enough to be accompanied by these 6 handsome young men.

Apple Annie was a little grouchy this year during her learning presentation.  It was actually quite humorous in the end.  But it was for sure not her best day!  The teachers were not so happy with her.......at one point I believe she told some kindergarten kids to "Shut their mouths or they would have to leave!"  And it wasn't exactly said in the sweetest voice.  All because they were making "owwww and awwwww" sounds when she made comments.  Which she started in the first place.  Kind of crazy......Apple Annie needs a rest I think!

Hunter with his buddies, Declan and Victor.  Hunter is a year young then them but still very much on the short side.  He keeps holding on to the idea that maybe he'll have a big growth spurt in Junior High like his daddy did.

It was fun to walk through the corn maze.....especially after the lecture Miss Apple Annie gave us about getting lost in the maze if we didn't answer the questions correctly.
Had a fabulous day with one of my good friends, Steph.  So glad we got to be chaperons together.  The kids were good and the company even better!  Love you Steph!

We always love the hayride to the pumpkin patch!

But picking our pumpkins is the high light for sure!

The rule is you have to be able to carry the pumpkin you pick!
Hunter came close to breaking that rule....lol!

The boys traveled well and it was a gorgeous day!

I love being able to volunteer at my kids school!  Makes for a busy life but I love it!
