What a Great Day

What a great day! Usually a good day on the slopes means one of these three things…. The weather is gorgeous, the snow is perfect, or the slopes aren’t crowded at all. But when you get a day when all three of these things are true, you know you were just gifted an extraordinary day! And we were! 

I had scheduled myself a private ski lesson so I could get good at parallel skiing and traversing smoothly. I also decided it would be nice if Grant got a private snowboarding lesson to boost his confidence and set him up for success. 

I thought it might be fun for Grant who take a friend, so he invited Kendall Bloomfield! Us three just had a blast! We drove up Thursday night after work and school sent the night in a hotel and then rocked the slopes all day Saturday. 

Nacho Season

And by Nacho Season I mean Basketball season… lol!  I get my years worth of nachos packed into 3 1/2 months while it’s basketball season! 

It was a fun season with plenty of wins. This JV A team only lost once to a private school from Phoenix. 

Sure love these boys! 

Logan is the best!  He always has a good attitude. He is grateful for any playing time he gets and he doesn’t pout!  Those characteristics mean more than points scored in a game. I am so proud of who his is in the court and off! 

So happy Uncle Quincy and they boys came to watch one of Logan’s games. 

Daddy Daughter Dance

Justin and I were out of town the weekend of the Daddy Daughter Dance so Logan stepped up like a good big brother and escorted Ella to the dance! 

Logan was a good date and cut up the dance floor. These two share a special bond. I’m so grateful to have such good kids!  

Happy Valentine’s Day

Had a great weekend with Kiersten and Alec down visiting! 

We celebrated by getting Valentine dresses!

Oh how I love my Kiersten girl!  She is in her second month of her six month extership and she is killing it!

It is so much fun to be Ella’s mom!  She is sweet, smart and can hold her own!! 

It’s been a beautiful weekend!  Loved the time spent with my girls!  

I Had To

This morning Alec and I went golfing at the Shamar golf course not far from their apartment. And when you drive farther than your son-in-law…. Well you have to document it!!  Cause it doesn’t happen very often!  

Mine is the pink ball!

Such Ambition in Such a Small Body

When I got up this morning around 6:50 I found a note on my phone. It had obviously been written by Ella. It said, “Mom, I went for a 5 minute run.”

Then I see this list she made this morning of what she wants her morning routine to look like now that it’s going to be school time. Quite the ambition for a cute little 8 year old!    

Little Miss Ella doesn’t even know it but she has inspired me!  Love my Ella Jane! 

You Know Christmas Was Good When

 Your 7 year old writes a thank you letter to Santa all on her own. I love that she included a thanks to Mrs. Clause. Ella must know there is a good woman behind Santa’s success… lol. 

I thought it was so cute when Ella showed me her letter and ask me to help mail it to Santa. 

So cute…. And made me realize how happy Ella was with her Christmas surprises. It’s magical having a believing kid in the house!!
