4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July! We celebrated with the Harmon's and Cluff's by enjoying the Savannah Jack concert and fireworks show. Love Hunter's expression! What a fun bunch of kids we had. Justin and I both comment on how we think our kids got in the personality line in heaven twice. They are all so full of personality and such characters!
You guys are so cute!

HOTDOG!!!

Oh Logan!!! There is a story behind the word "Hotdog" at our house. Logan got on this kick of saying, "Poopy" to everyone for every reason. We would be at Walmart and he would tell anyone that talked to him that they were "poopy." As you could imagine it wasn't the cutest thing to hear him say. So "poopy" became a bad word at our house, so we told Logan to say "Hotdog" instead. We thought it would help him have something else to remember to say but never thought it would stick or we might have thought longer about our word choice. However, it has stuck! He calls everyone a "HOTDOG!" He thinks it is the funniest thing in the world and just laughs when he says it! He even called Dr. Christensen a "Hotdog" at our last appointment. Drew got quite the kick out of it and said it was the first time he had been called that but it was better then what he usually gets called. Grandma with the dogs (Christi) got this shirt for Logan. What a wonderful, thoughtful Grandma. Logan was in heaven! He wore it all day and begged to wear it to bed cause he loves it so much.
What a character!

Swimming Fun

After the parade we had promised the kids swimming at Aunt Susan's which they were all excited about. This is Logan going to jump off the diving board or so I thought............. Logan had something else in mind and away he went.......... .........that's right a front flip! I could hardly believe it when I saw him. He is such a dare devil who LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the water!!! He pulled it off with great skill. We all gave him a 10!
And splash he went............he was so happy with himself.
All the cousins had a fun time cooling off. Logan in the back ground doing a crazy jump off the board. What a guy!
This is Kiersten going down head first and backwards.
She got brave the previous week when I had my Activity Day girls over to Susan's for a swimming party/ swimming lesson. She felt confident this time and I enjoyed watching her enjoy herself.
There she goes shooting right off the slide like a bullet out of the barrel.
BOOM........... and there she lands!
Ker plunk!
Now it's Logan's turn. He lacks fear of water in any way shape or form.
His eyes are getting bigger and bigger as he goes down.
WaHoO!
There he goes........... or as Logan would say, "Fire In The Hole!!!" That's his new saying.
Now there is the Big Kahuna! Richard stole the show with his belly slide.
There he goes...........
.....catching speed.........
Richard is so dang tall it was funny to see him slide. His hands pretty much hit the water and his feet are still at the top of the slide. All the kids love Richard because he is crazy!
See half of his body is in the water and his knees are still on the slide.
Hunter didn't want to be showed up by his big sister so he tried all the tricks she did.
There he goes nice and tucked!
"Boom, Boom, Fire Power" as Hunter would say.
Now that is a straight shot!
And there's the splash!!! It was a fun time for sure.

4th of July Parade

This is Austin and Logan getting ready for the 4th of July parade. What gorgeous smiles they have!
So my very talented dad made this wagon to go along with all the horses that he had made for us. He just got it finished before the 4th of July so we decide to enter it in the parade. The kids all look so cute in their CKC shirts and hard hats. It was our kids, Brian and Tif's kids and Richard and Stacie's kids. What a great looking bunch! Great job Dad! He is such an amazing, creative person!
Justin looks sharp in his florescent orange shirt and hard hat! Tif and I walked beside the wagon and threw out candy. It was fun to be a part of the parade. Several people along the way said we were the best float by far. We were towards the end of the parade line.
Our motto was, "Just smile and wave boys, just smile and wave!" And yes we stole that from Madagascar, but it was very fitting for the parade.
It was nice because Tif and I got our workouts in easy.

Bonita Creek

This is Kiersten, Megan, Logan, Austin, Hunter and Carson playing in a small pond at Bonita Creek. The Harmons came down for the 4th of July and we had such a wonderful time exploring with them! Kiersten had so much fun with Megan. They are the only girls so they know they have to stick together. Although, Logan has quite the crush on Megan and followed her around every where. Megan was such a sweetie to Logan and boy did he eat that attention up!
Austin enjoying the cold water! What a stud!
The kids just had a ball splashing around. All our kids need is a little bit of water to play in and they are happy as can be!
Rylan is such a fun kid. He makes he laugh every time I am around him.
Kiersten is a great big sister. She is quite the little Mama and I can only imagine how in charge she is going to be once we have baby boy #3! Logan loves attention from girls even his sister.
It was fun to hear the kids laughter while they played. Richard and Stacie brought their Rhino down, so we took out our rail and headed for Bonita Creek Friday afternoon. Justin had the day off and it was nice weather once we got up into the canyon part. I just loved to get out and explore places like this, especially with good friends!
Oh Logie! He just had a fabulous time playing in the water and riding the rail. He asks almost everyday if he can ride in the rail. When I say "no not today." He responds with, "OK the Joyner." He loves both of them or riding his quad. He is getting pretty good at following Justin on his Suzuki 50 to go on a trail ride out here by our house. Kind of makes me nervous sometimes because he is only three and this terrain is not as forgiving as the sand dunes.
We had a great time with Megan. She had a sleep over and once she left Logan was just lost. He asked for a couple of days where is friend had gone. So cute!
Our kids were not to excited about this picture, but as usual we took it anyways. It was really nice to spend the day together as a family and enjoy the great outdoors!
The Crazy Harmons! We always enjoy spending time with them. We had a nice picnic dinner and introduced the Harmons to geo caching. We found three caches while out at Bonita creek. The kids had fun looking for the caches and us moms had "fun" trying to keep the kids from stepping in cactus! All in all...................it was a great day!

The Princess Band

So the other day the kids were bored and I told them to go be creative. About 30 mins later they came up with this "band." It was so cute! They were in costume and everything. Kiersten was the princess, Hunter the King and Logan the Dragon.
They played or banged pots and pans. And for one song Kiersten even got out her violin with the boys accompanied her as percussion. They were so proud of themselves! They made a sign with two rules Justin and I had to follow... Rule#1 No mean faces, only smiles Rule#2 You have to clap

We're in the Courier

The kids were so excited to see thier pictures in the paper. We had fun having a float in the 4th of July parade! The kids all looked so cute with their CKC shirts and hard hats! And the second picture is Logan having a great time dancing with Austin and Megan at the fireworks concert and show. It was such a fun weekend with the Harmon and Cluff cousins!!! I am going to try hard to post pictures soon of all our fun.
