Girls Trip with Grammie

My mom, Kiersten and I took a long weekend and went to Mesa for our first ever "Girl's Trip." We gave my mom tickets to see WICKED for Mother's Day and we all have been looking forward to it ever since. Kiersten was so excited to have a girls only get-a-way and the boys got to have their own fun guys trip the same weekend so everyone was excited.
This is Kiersten and Grammie having a little piece of heaven called Bingsoo! This picture doesn't come close to doing Bingsoo justice. It is shaved ice with frozen yogurt (or soft serve your choice), the you get to pick the fresh fruit you want to have chopped up and it gets topped with a fruit syrup of your choice. I had frozen yogurt with kiwi, strawberries, pineapples, and bananas topped with strawberry syrup. It is so delicious I would seriously make a trip to Chandler just to get some and that's not an exaggeration! You stir it all together and dig in!! My mom LOVED it and Kiersten had already been exposed and is a Bingsoo lover as well! This is a delicious and refreshing dessert worth traveling to Chandler for. If anyone wants the location just let me know. I would recommend it to everyone. I took Justin there on our trip and he even like it and he's not too fond of fruit so that says a lot about how truly good it is. We had a great time shopping!!! Kiersten was especially happy with the adorable pink phone that her Grammie bought for her from Pottery Barn. It is a real working phone and Kiersten couldn't wait to get it home to her room and start calling people!!! She is ALL GIRL and I just love it!! Kiersten and Grammie outside our hotel right before going to see WICKED!!! They both were so excited to go see the broadway show and I was excited to be with them to see it for a third time! I just loved having a weekend with my two favorite girls. KIERSTEN I love Kiersten more than life itself. She is such a wonderful daughter! I love that she tries hard at everything she does. She gives 110% to everything she does and has so much determination to be her best. She is thoughful beyond words. She lately tells me quite often that I should go lay down and rest and she'll watch the boys for me. She loves girly things! She has a testimony of Jesus Christ already and wants to make good choices so she will be able to return to live with him someday. She is a GREAT example to her family and is a wonderful big sister!! MY MOTHER I Love my Mom so much! She has a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and worked hard engraving that feeling into her children. She made us breakfast in bed most of my high school years and read us scriptures every morning all on her own. She took her five small children to church by herself. She is the most selfless person I know. She is an amazing example of service and is constantly doing something for someone else. She is so much fun to talk and laugh with. She loves people and everyone loves her! She loves my children like her own (probably more than her own). There are a million more reasons I love her that's for sure! Here we are at Gammage after the show. It was even great the third time!
We had such a fun trip and enjoyed even minute of our "grown up girl bonding time"!
One evening while in Mesa we took some pictures of Kiersten in her white baptism dress outside the temple. It was really windy but we were able to capture some good shots. Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!!
Kiersten is so excited to be getting baptized on her birthday August 17th! She asks me questions about baptism a lot and wants to know all about what it means and will be like. I am so grateful she is making the choice to be baptized!
After her pictures Kiersten enjoyed some fun in the pool, as my Mom and I visited. Kiersten was sad to see her curls wash away with the water but it was worth cooling off. She just asked that I take this picture so she could remember how pretty her curls were. She's so girly and I love it!!! If I only get to have one girl Kiersten is the perfect one to get!
It was a wonderful girls trip and we hope to make it an annual thing. Hopefully we can include all the "Boswell side" girls next time!!!
