Tree Decorating

I love our tradition of the kids decorating their own Christmas trees how ever they want.

I hope they never out grow this tradition!

Grant's shirt tells the truth.... Don't grow up it's a trap!

I love that Kiersten still enjoys this tradition.

Mona really enjoyed decorating her own tree in her room.  She had two cute little "helpers."

Logan loves looking at the ornaments he has collected and made over the years.

I love seeing the fun side of Mona as Christmas is approaching.  When she is able to chill out and let loose, she is a ton of fun!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around this place....
And I LOVE IT!

Minute to Win It Birthday Party

Logan decided he wanted to have a Minute to Win it birthday party.  It ended up being the perfect party for a group of 10 year old boys!

Game supplies were easy enough...

The prizes were easy too.

Jace, Grant, Ryker, Logan Skinner, Colton, Rhett and Logan

The boys all loved that they got to make their own pizza.  I had planned to let them roll out their own dough.  But after I pictured how that could go with this group of boys I decided premade pizza crusts would be best.

They did have fun making their own pizzas even more then I had imagined.

Rhett and Logan Skinner battling against each other.

Logan killed it at this game.  Blow up a ballon and then use the air to blow off the solo cups.  I loved watching the other boys cheer for each other!

Marshmellow toss...

It was a fun yet simple birthday party!

Logan enjoyed it and that is all that matters!  This was a fun group of boys so that made the party even better!
Happy birthday Logan!

Future Dentist

Grant had his first loose tooth so what did I do.....

Call in Hunter!

This kid is going to be a dentist or orthodontist.  It wasn't long before Grant was supporting a toothless grin.

Grant was pretty excited to loose his first tooth.  Hunter was excited he got to be the one to pull it and I was equally excited I didn't have to do it!

Girl's Choice Dance

Since Kiersten is in student council she has to help at all the dances.

I'd say she doesn't mind on bit.
This is her and Alani Blair....don't they look cute in their aprons!

The girls choice dance was at the old dance hall in Eden.  It was called Merryland.  They have redone the building.  It was really cool and fit the carnival theme perfect!

The decorations were really cute...

KrisiAna, Kiersten and Alani
Such beautiful girls.....They have been such good friends to each other.  These girls had fun being servers.  KristiAna and I had a good time making cotton candy.

I love my Kiersten!
She was surprised when she got asked to dance by two boys while at the formal.  She said she couldn't believe a boy would ask her to dance over one of the girls all dressed up.  She is so beautiful and yet so humble!  She truly is a treasure!

I was one of the adult chaperones.  It was fun to see all the pretty dressed!

The building is an octagon shape and this is the middle pole.  I thought it was a cool touch!

Mona, Angelica, Pia (the other German exchange student), Jessica, Alycia, Callie

Spencer, Johny, Ali'i, Derek, Jerrett and Braven

Such a great looking group of kids!
Mona had a fun time even though her date didn't end up being as into her as she was thinking.  It was a good learning experience for her.  Mona did have a fun time with her group and of course she loved getting all dressed up.

Cat Lady

Miss Ella Jane is such a cat lover!
I believe her third word was "kitty"!

Look at that smile!  Ella is obsessed with kitties!
Grandma Boswell has some outside cats and Ella LOVES them!

This white one is particularly tolerant of this Cat loving toddler!

It is so fun (and slightly exhausting) to watch Ella grow and show her personality!
She is such a funny kid and has a strong personality for her age.
We sure love our kitty loving girl!
We all joke around that when Ella grows up she's going to live alone but have like 40 cats in her house....hahaha!

Look Who's a Baller Now....

Hunter tried out for the 7th grade basketball team and.....

HE MADE THE TEAM!!!!
Yes he is a head or more shorter than any of the other boys but he's happy to be on the team.  Four boys were cut from the team so it's not like just everyone made it.

These are the basketball shoes he picked out!

We found out he made the team the week before a dance competition in Gilbert.  It just so happened that Kiersten was going to be on a FBLA field trip to Phoenix and would need to be picked up Friday evening so we could stay over for the competition the following day.

Kiersten was actually going to go to a Suns basketball game Friday evening with FBLA.  I was suppose to pick her up from that game.  Since Hunter had just found out he made the basketball team I decided to surprise him with tickets to the Suns game.
We was super surprised!

It's been a really long time since I have been to a suns game.  It was fun!

So much goes on other than just the game!  WOW it's actually over kill in my book.

Showed Hunter that not all NBA players are extra tall.  Bledsoe had the most point for the suns this game.  We are so proud of Hunter for giving the try outs his all!!!!  Not really looking forward to all the practices that start at 4:50 IN THE MORNING!!!!!
Excited to go watch the game though!  WAY TO GO HUNTER!

Arrrrr Matey!

It was time for Logan's school musical.  It was the 3rd thru 5th graders.

Logan had a couple of speaking lines and he nailed it! So proud of our little pirate!

I loved his little pirate accent.....Arrrr Matey!

This really was one of my top favorite plays they had done.  It came together so nice!

We sure love Mrs. Rubacava, the music teacher at DPA!

Logan had wanted to try out for specific parts for the musical.  But he was sick with a really bad cough when they were held so he was unable to try out.  Ryder tried out and did not get the part he tried out for but was made Blue Beard, the pirate instead.

These two are more like brothers than friends.
It's great that they have each other!  Oh and I can not imagine the stories they will have to tell or what we are in for during their teenage years!  Watch out!
