Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort

was where we got to stay. The kids had a fun time going down the water slide.......and I think everyone enjoyed the lazy river.

Kaely and Kiersten
These two girls have so much fun when they are together. It's fun to watch them be so girly! Kiersten really is a wonderful daughter! I am so grateful she's my girl!

I just LOVE Justin! And boy is he luck I do.........he, he..........honestly we've been through A LOT! I am so glad to be where we are at in our relationship.............the best is yet to come for sure! When we do stuff with other couples it's clear to see we really do love and appreciate each other. We get along so good...........we realize that, more and more when we hang out with other couples. Justin is a sweet guy!

Maliya, Hunter and Maddie. The cousins had a great time playing together in the water. I love swimming so it was my kind of vacation as well.

I love Maddie's smile in this picture.

The eyes of a fish.........Logan is seriously part fish! He started swimming without floaties when he was just two. He LOVES the water! This summer he even learned how to swim down to the bottom of the pool to get diving sticks. Not a whole lot of four year olds can do that.

Doesn't he have a handsome face. I love the beads of water. It is a treat to be Logan's mom! I really feel blessed to have the wonderful kids that I have............not that they don't test my patience on a daily basis............but none the less THEY ARE WONDERFUL!

Justin, Hunter, Logan and I enjoyed a game of goofy golf. It wasn't the best course but we didn't care. It was a lot of fun and that's all that mattered to us.
It was cute seeing Logan ask his Daddy for help.
One of the few obstacles of the course.
SEXY!!!
Katelynn, Logan and Maliya
Mr. Grant L~O~V~E~D the water............and Logan for some reason. Mr. Grant really does like Logan even though Logan gets right in his face. It's fun to watch them interact.
My sweet baby!
He wouldn't smile for a picture..........in fact this was one of the few pictures where he is actually looking towards the camera. Mr. Grant wanted to keep looking at the water.........but I wanted the water in the background.......
.......so for a picture with Justin I gave in and let Mr. Grant look towards the water.........and there is his adorable smile!
I think Mr. Grant is going to be a fish like Logan.
Mr. Grant was in heaven. Can you tell Justin works in an office?
Nice tan babe!
Hunter...just being Hunter! He is a cute kid! He is growing up too fast. Hunter really is too smart for his own good.
I just love my family!
Matt and Maddie. Maddie was so cute in the water. I had a great time having her ride on my tube down the lazy river! My in-laws were so nice to stay in the hotel room and watch the babies for us while we played at the pool. It made it super nice.........especially on Saturday when we hung out at the pool all day.
The Player family.......Maddie, Matt, Kristen and Maliya.
They are a lot of fun and we miss hanging out with them like we use to years ago. Not sure what ever happened that made us stop doing as much together.........guess life just got busy. I have always enjoyed talking with Kristen.......she just makes me laugh!
We love them!
Uncle Chris and Hunter
Hunter seriously ADORES Chris! Chris is wonderful with all the kids. Hunter keeps asking me when he can go down and stay a few days with Uncle Chris. He tells me all the things he would bring............the Wii, his Nintendo DS, his swim suit, and money to buy pizza and ice cream for him and Chris. It's just fun to hear Hunter dream about going to stay a few day with them. Not that it will ever happen..........but it's like I always say........It's good to dream!
Maliya, Mr. Grant and Logan
The cousins just had a ball running from room to room.
They did some serious game playing these two guys!
Thanks Chris for being so great........by the way we think you have the best wife in the world!!
Hunter told me he wanted me to put LOTS of picture of him and Uncle Chris on my blog. Melissa and Chris are going to be AMAZING parents someday!
It was surprising how well all the kids got along on this long weekend trip. Especially considering what most Sunday dinners are like.........YIKES! The whole weekend combined wasn't as hectic as one typical Sunday dinner. I am sure having nothing but fun kid activities planned all weekend helped a ton! We need to do this every year I think!

Melissa's So Talented...

We were lucky enough to be down the weekend Melissa was playing her viola in sacrament meeting. She really is talented. It's good for Kiersten to see her Aunt that has done to well with music. Hunter even commented to me after watching Melissa play that he's excited to start violin in school this year. They can start the strings program when they are in second grade.
Melissa and Chris happen to go to the same building that we went to when we lived in Chandler. It was fun to see a few of our old friends passing in the halls. Our old ward met before Melissa and Chris's ward so we only got to say hi to a few families. On the way back to the hotel we took the kids by our old house. Kiersten was the only kid that lived in that house, but they all enjoyed seeing where we lived. I often wish I could just pick up my house and yard here in Pima and transplant it back to Chandler.
What a good lookin' family Yeah we weren't planning on a family picture.........as the kids all have matching outfits and Justin and I match each other........but we don't all match. One thing is for sure though........ we ARE a VERY cute FAMILY!

Jump Street

My friend Steph had told me about this place called Jump Street, so on our way home we thought we'd try it out. Man are we glad we did! It was lots of fun!
For the life of me I could not talk this little boy out of being in our picture. I didn't want to hurt his feelings but I didn't want his parent to think it was strange that I would be taking his picture. I tried to get the kids to stand in front of him but he'd just move........and so he was adopted into our family picture. He even wanted to see the picture on my camera. Kiersten running up the side
The kids really enjoyed running up the sides and sliding down on their bums. What can I say so did I!
Hunter was bound and determined to climb into the gator mouth.
I said, "Hunter I don't think you can get in there."
Hunter replied, " A true boy never gives up Mom."
Hunter is a True Boy!
He made it and proved me wrong.
Mr. Grant and me
I had so much fun jumping with Mr. Grant. Justin commented saying he wasn't sure who was having more fun Mr. Grant or me. What can I say I am a kid at heart.........and I wouldn't want it any other way!
The kids all loved that I would get out there with them and jump.
Mr. Grant was obsessed with Hunter's shaved head.
He just wanted to keep feeling it and he would just giggle. It was so cute!
The kids wanted a picture without Mr. Grant attacking Hunter's head. I love being a mom and having an excuse to go to fun places!
The whole weekend was full of fun and laughter.
I came back with a few funny stories and a couple of "guess ya had to be there" jokes.
Couldn't have asked for more then that!

So I finally gave in.......

...and SHAVED the boys heads.
They have been asking me for months and I told them that during the summer I would let them. They were so excited to look like their Uncle Quincy! Logan kept telling me for days to call him, Quincy! The boys just adore Quincy and it's easy to see why!
They still look dang handsome!
I am enjoying not doing their hair everyday....and they are All Ready for SUMMER!!!

Logan....

...is a Star Student too!
Logan LOVES Mrs. Deanne, his preschool teacher!
He asked almost everyday if he could go home with her to her house. She enjoyed him as well. She said in her report that "Logan is a pure delight to have in class and she looks forward to having him again next year!"
She commented to me several times through out the year how much she enjoys Logan! He is a sweet heart, when he wants to be! He can be as notty as any other 4 year old boy, but his fun personality gets him out of a lot of trouble it seems.
Good Job Logie Bear!

The Jungle Book Play

I realized I never got around to posting about the kids being in the Jungle Book Play this Spring. During the month of April, Kiersten, Hunter and Logan went to Play practice a couple of days a week. Their performance was the beginning of May.
This is the third night of the performance............the first night only Kiersten went because the boys came down with strep throat. They were so bummed not to get to go that first night. Then the following day Kiersten was sick with strep throat so she missed one night as well.
Kiersten was a silly, crazy monkey.
Hunter was the sweetest elephant.
Logan was the cutest bee.
I love how they just start posing without any instructions from me. I was so excited that we figured out how to get these ears to stand out. All the elephants were so cute...........it fun to see the different costumes. Hunter was a great elephant...........he should have been the Sargent because he kept telling/showing the boys where to stand. There were little pieces of tape with the boys names on it. Hunter is very strict when it comes to things like this so when the boys wouldn't be on the right tape it really bothered him. After the first nights performance I asked him why he kept moving the boys that were next to him. His reply was priceless........"Because they weren't following Penny's rules and that's just not Okay! Right Mom we have to follow the rules?" Maybe he is OCD? Should I worry? Silly, Silly Monkey! Kiersten had a great time in the play. She was so excited to get to see Minnie Whetten, Penny's little girl. They were good friends when Kiersten went to LNS. They were so cute together on stage. They had so much fun dancing to the jungle music and being silly monkeys! Logan was very excited to be in the play like his big brother and sister. This was his very first play. He had a fun time being with his little buddy Ryker Shupe and his cousin Maliya. Logan's favorite part was the ...."the bees are buzzing in the trees to make some honey just for me..." during which all the bees turned around in circles being buzzing bees. Logan just had a ball buzzing around in a circle!
Logan was not so happy about the makeup. He was actually pretty upset about me putting it on him because in his words........."Make up is for girlas and I am NOT a girlas!" But with a little convincing and seeing Hunter getting some on......he gave in.
Logan and Ryker.........so cute!
Logan loved the stage and never had a bit of stage fright. I kept thinking whose kid is that............my kids are usually scared of being in front of a big crowd. Not Logan the Bee!
These are all the 4 yr old bees.
What a herd?
Now that is a plethora of monkey's!
This is some of the other cast members I loved seeing the costumes. Some parents really know what they're doing when it comes to making costumes...........I envy them......seriously I can't even sew a button on a shirt.
The main character's did a fabulous job! I am always amazed at Penny Whetten's talent, patience and her ability to teach children...........lots of children. She is a wonderful person and I am so glad my kids are able to participate in her Plays.
The kids did a great job and had a wonderful time!
