We made it through 10 years of marriage, so we decided to celebrate in style! Grand Cayman's here we come

This is the resort that we stayed at..........Grand Cayman Beach Suites right on the 7 mile beach.
Breath taking as it looks, this picture doesn't come close to doing it justice. It wasn't very crowded and the weather was perfect. This is what we spent a lot of time doing............RELAXING! This was the first vacation we've been on where we didn't try to cramp a million excursions into our trip. We allowed ourselves to just simply lay and relax! It was just what we needed, the timing of our trip couldn't have been better. We were able to spend one glorious week on the Island and celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary while there. The resort use to be the Hyatt and had recently been bought out and all redone. It was beautiful! The view from our balcony, just gorgeous and the tropical breeze made it perfect! While on our trip we ate at some wonderful restaurants.
Us in the lobby of our hotel. We went on our trip the week before Christmas, crazy I know. I was well prepared and had all of Christmas bought and wrapped before I left.
Iguana's roam freely on the Island. Some of them were huge. It was fun to see them randomly on the streets.
I have learned a great deal through out our marriage, especially over the past 5 months. If I am being real, it hasn't always been an easy 10 years. I am very hopeful that the next 10 will be better, at this point they have to be! I am grateful for Justin and what he has taught me about myself. What a fun, hard, thrilling, difficult, happy, fulfilling journey it has been so far! I am still trying to learn to "dance in the rain!"
I am so grateful for my testimony and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that through the Atonement our hearts can be changed and healed. Life is such a process but I am grateful for the opportunity I have to live it! I love life and want our family to have a great life TOGETHER. I love my sweet little family and the wonderful children we have been blessed with. I have much to be thankful for! Thanks Justin for taking this journey with me! I honestly won't rather travel it with anyone else. Like I first said at Cottonwood, "You are more than enough for me!"
I love the ocean! I would love to live close to the beach.

Oh the drama..............

Logan was ballistic because his blueberry pancake on a stick was hot. He wanted it to be cold. He was crying hysterically, so I had to take a picture. He was so stickin' mad it was funny!
It was some serious drama and madness that continued until a nice time out and a cold blueberry pancake on a stick had a chance to take affect of Mr. Logan! "I NOT HAPPPPPY!" One of Logan's new things when he is upset is to yell, "I NOT HAPPPPPY!" It is actually pretty funny when he does it, so it makes it hard to discipline him. Plus it's great that he is verbalizing his feelings. I know grown men that still can't do that. It's pretty cute, sometimes Kiersten and Hunter try to make Logan mad just so he will yell, "I NOT HAPPPPY!" Then it was peace and happiness once again, well as close to that as our house ever gets. All this and it isn't even 7 a.m.. Take a deep breath, count to ten and remind yourself that you are the one that wanted to have kids! Now this is when I regret not putting in that Velcro room and having Velcro suits made for my kids so I could just throw them against the wall and call it some new type of "therapy!"

I tell you it never ends.................

So our hardwood flooring in the playroom and kids retreat started to warp, after they finished my photo studio in our basement. Long story, but the just of it is that because the drywall was so bad, the tape and texture guy had to put so much mud on the walls and ceiling. It took days for the room to dry enough to put a second coat on. A couple of days later the floor above (hardwood floor) started to warp. So now (4 months later), they ripped up the floor.
Logan was freaked out by the sight of the workers ripping up the floor. He came and got me, held my hand, walked me to the room and showed me the mess. He kept telling the workers, "My mommy be so mad a'chu!" and "You Notty!" The workers got quite the kick out of him.
It's so sad to see your new house torn apart!
Thank goodness they came back the next day to replace the floor. Hunter loved watching the workers and asking them thousands of questions and I just let him. Hey if you are in my house you'll just have to deal with the kids!
Oh it's complete.......................
Well almost.......................they ran out of wood with one, yes I said ONE ROW of wood flooring to go. I knew something would happen. Now they have to order more and they'll be back in a week or two to finish it. It's a dang good thing I have a good sense of humor, what else can you do but laugh right?

Trains @ North Park

I found out that there was a train exhibit at a mall in Dallas, which was 30 minutes away. So knowing how much Logan loves trains we decided to check it out one morning. It was well worth it. Plus we found a Panera Bread............YUMMY!
The kids had a great time seeing all the trains and little exhibits of towns, school, playgrounds. It was pretty impressive. And Logan was in heaven. It's so fun to see my kids excited. In fact I think Logan was beyond excited, he was thrilled!
There was so much detail to this exhibit. The kids loved finding little animals and things through out the exhibit.
Logan was crazy happy. I wish I would have video taped him.
Such cute boys! I feel so blessing to get to raise them. Challenging as it is, my kids are the joy and love of my life!
Hunter wanted a picture with his Dad. Hunter still wasn't using his arm at all, but he was a trooper through it all.
This was one of the kids favorite spots. They loved the fair scene and Kiersten said "Mom you got to blog that picture for sure!" I love Kiersten and I am so glad I have a girl to help balance out the rough boys in our house.

Craft Time @ Cub's Corner

The resort has a kids craft room called Cub's Corner. There are a variety of things to make and do.
Kiersten and Hunter first made a camp journal. They had a fun time doing it! I helped Hunter out a lot as this was the day he had got his cast on and wasn't feeling to good.
Logan enjoyed playing at the little tikes computer!
The kids also made a picture frame with glitter paints. As you can imagine Kiersten was so excited for this project!
Hunter was happy to know that he can kind of paint with his left hand. Good thing huh?
Look at the firished projects...........Beautiful!
This is part of the craft room. You can read, watch movies or just take a rest. So cute!
Logie getting a little Daddy love! He does adore his dad!
Mommy helping the boys color. Hunter needed to have someone hold down his paper so he could color. He was a little frustrated that he didn't color as good with his left hand as he does with his right. But he tried really hard and thats what counts!
Hunter is always posing when I am going to take a picture. And Logan is just as cute as can be! He tried really hard to smile in this picture.
Justin doing what he does best...................resting!
The last and final project for the week was making lotion and body spray. What a fun party this would make for a group of girls!

New Year's Eve............Party Time Baby!

So Justin thought he was going to "shut down" and take it easy..........................it's New Year's Baby, can we say Party Time! The kids let him know his behavior was not acceptable and the fun began. They were so excited that the resort had put all this fun stuff in our room for New Year's. Hats, lei's, horns, noise makers, the works! You know I love a good party and with a 500 room resort booked to full capacity, you defiantly get a PARTY! Good thing it's a huge place huh? We decided to get in our
pj's and head out to see what was going on. The resort had games, face painting, crafts, dancing and lots more, but it was crazy madness with a handful of liquored up parents (Crazy I tell you!), so we decided the arcade was a great way to spend our evening.
Kiersten loved getting the long strips of tickets and had a great time getting them.
The kids love this game and I think Justin does just as much!
Logan was a HOOT! Every time he threw the ball he jumped (he loves to jump) and threw his arms in the air and yelled "I WON, I WON!" He was so funny to watch he drew a crowd at times.
Logan just loving his game! He did it for most of the night and actually got quite good at it!
What a cute boy! He loved the ice cream truck as well.
Hunter with his long strip of tickets. He was so thrilled with himself! He kept saying he wanted to keep the tickets so he could remember how good he was at the games!
They so almost made it to ring in the New Year....................11:45. That is pretty amazing for my kids because they are so good about going to bed at 8. They tried hard and were just going to "rest their eyes." It was a fun night and a great place to ring in the New Year with our kiddos. Justin and I were left to ring in the New Year by ourselves. No complaints here!

MagiQuest

Who ever thought this Magiquest up was a genious! You buy these wands and get them activated with your Magi name and everything. You get a booklet that explains the different quests and adventures. You get clues to know where to find hidden things through out the kindom (resort). You sign up at the big trees for the quests you want to do and then follow the clues. When you wave your wand at things like treasure boxes, pictures on the wall, crystals, places on the ceiling, etc, they light up and speak to you. The treasure box opens up and tells you what you got and it keeps track of your progress. Way fun!
Logan, his Magi name was dinosaur. And in case you didn't know but that isn't a dragon on the top of his wand, no it's a dinosaur just ask Logan.
Logan had a great time lighting up the crystals. He figured it out really fast though and decided it was too much walking up and down stairs for him so he pleaded to be carried a lot.
Kiersten really enjoyed doing the quests. Here she is lighting up the blue crystal. We had a great time pretending to be Magi's on our quests through out the kingdom. Kiersten, her Magi name was "Tink." She loves Tinker Bell lately so thats what she came up with.
Here Kiersten is by one of the main trees you can go to and sign up for your next quest or adventure. There was also a large screen where you could fight the dragon once you had reached a certain point.
Hunter, his magi name was "Hunt." Thats a nickname that his friend Chase gave him.
Hunter opening one of the treasure chests. The kids thought it was so amazing that their wands actually opened things and made things light up and talk.
