1st Annual Musical Hayride & Halloween Party

This year Mrs. Kim Skinner and her strings students decided to do something different instead of a traditional fall concert. So they had a musical hayride.
There are about 30 kids grades 2nd-6th that are a part of strings.
The kids were way excited..........this was the same day as the Apple Annie's Orchard field trip so it was a busy, busy day to say the least. Jacob, Hunter and Justice We invited all the strings students as well as their families to participate.
Out of all 30 students only one couldn't make it.
Kiersten and her group of friends
McKyla, Jaralyn, Kiersten, Sarah, Samantha, and Hanna
Some of the kids even wore their Halloween costumes. They were either suppose to wear Halloween colors or costumes.
I made a route for the hayride. It began at our house, we went to 5 places, 3 widows homes, the Mulberry House, and a party that was at the Hancock Park, then ended up back at our house for the Halloween Party and dinner.
This is the students playing for Horrace Carter a widower.
The kids did a fabulous job at each spot!
Mr. DeRusha came as well and even brought his son Nick.
Mr. DeRusha played his guitar and Nick played the symbols. Gail Bryce even came and accompanied the kids on the keyboard.
Kiersten and the three other girls in pink had a special violin number "The Pink Panther." They even made up a dance routine to it. It was super cute and they did a great job on it.
That's Kim playing with her students.
This was at Aunt Tillie's house.
My parents came down to help Aunt Tillie get out to her porch. Aunt Tillie even had cookies for all the kids!
These are some of the ladies at the Mulberry House.
They were so appreciative of us coming.
It was a great way to start off the Holiday season!
Doesn't Hunter look adorable all decked out in his cowboy duds!
Once we got back to our house we had all kinds of yummy soups, desserts and rolls.
All the parents were so kind to help out and bring something.
Mrs. Williams, the director of DPA, even came and played games with the kids.
This is her roping with Hunter.
Hunter was just in heaven having Mrs. Williams roping with him! It looked like she really enjoyed it as well.
There were probably about 85 people at our house.
I just loved it!
It was so fun and the kids were all well behaved.
Everyone enjoyed the food and the beautiful weather.
I am thinking this might become an annual thing.
But even Justin said he could handle doing this every year.
There were kids everywhere outside.
I had a few games.........bobbing for apples was one of them.
This is Andrew Taylor and Colton Smart.
Kendall Moore is the one attempting to get an apple in this picture.
That's Hunter.........he did a great job getting his apple! He was so happy he got it on the first try! We also had bubbles (left over from Mr. Grant's party) that the kids enjoyed. And the kids loved the gunny sack races.
These are the Pink Panther Girls
They were phenomenal!
Mrs. Williams gave a short speech about what a wonderful teacher Kim Skinner is. The kids were all good and came over and sat down quietly during it.
We all couldn't believe how good the kids behaved during Mrs. Williams speech and the whole night really.
It was such a fun evening..........the kids played their violins so well and the party was a huge success.
