On Our Way To Seattle

We decided to start a new tradition with our kids. When one of our kids promotes from 8th grade to high school we decided we will take them and the next youngest kid on a trip with just them. Give us some good individual time before they start what can be, the difficult high school years. Justin and I will pick the location so that part will always be a surprise!!! Yay I love good surprises!

Kiersten just finished 8th grade so we planned a trip to Seattle, Washington!  Due to Grnadpa B's passing we had to cancel our original plans and we flew to Salt Lake first, for a few days. This made us cut our trip to Seattle a bit short but we are still thrilled to be going! On the plane and ready for Seattle!  Thank goodness for Grandma Boswell who stepped in last minute to keep the other kids, as I had asked Grandma Cluff several months ago to keep them. But of course she needed to be up in Utah with her parents. We understood of course!! We are just glad we got things worked out so we could still enjoy a trip to Seattle!
It takes a lot of get Justin to leave the office especially for a week so I hated to cancel the trip because he already had it figured out to get away.  The month of June was especially long for Justin as his secretary, Sandy was gone the whole month.  So his typical long hours turned into extreme long hours and extra stress!!!  Needless to say he didn't want to have to cancel the trip either!
It all worked out thank goodness!  We are both blessed with very helpful parents!
