Hunter's Karate Party............or Ki ai Party as Logan puts it!

We decided to have Hunter's Karate birthday Party a few weeks early so that the Chicago cousins could be here for it. We never get to celebrate our birthdays with them, so this was a big treat to have them here. Look at that cake! Hunter was so excited about his cake. He couldn't believe that Krista could make a little bear karate chop a piece of wood! It was very impressive! Thanks so much Krista! WOW........impressive!
It was really nice this year to have Hunter's party at the karate shop. All I had to do was bring a cake, presents and kids! It was a treat for myself especially considering this was the same weekend we had Kiersten's big eighth birthday party and her baptism. Needless to say we were busy!
Logan was just as excited about this party as Hunter. Hunter said Logan could wear one of his old karate uniforms that don't fit him any more. Logan was in heaven, we couldn't get it off of him all day or even a bedtime. Logan loves to go watch Hunter at Ki ai (a.k.a. karate).
Mr. Jones did a fabulous job running the party! He keeps those kids entertained with karate forms, games and so much more! The kids loved learning forms with their nunchucks! They even got to keep them.
Hunter got to be in charge a lot which he just loved of course.
Look at those karate moves!
Nice Kickin'!
Ki ai!
There is Logan and Hunter Saline enjoying hitting the bags with their nunchucks.
They learned blocks!
Gotta be ready for Mr. Jones to come and attack!
Make a wish! Happy Birthday Bud............we sure love you!
One of Hunter's favorite parts was getting to cut the cake with the Samurai sword and yes that is a real sword! Little scary when you six year old is holding it!
Hunter could hardly wait to cut that cake!
"This doesn't happen to me everyday ya know!"
This was Hunter's comment to me about cutting the cake with a real Samurai sword! Pretty big deal when you are turning six I guess! Hey I've can't say I've ever cut a cake with a Samurai sword and I am old!
"Look what I did Mom!" I was a little worried when Mr. Jones let Hunter hold the sword all by himself mostly because there were 15 young kids close by!
The kids liked eating on the table on the ground. The cake was seriously as good as it looked! They kids also had pizza and drinks earlier.
YEAH...time for the gifts!
Hunter made out like a bandit as usual. Thanks to everyone who came and joined in the fun!Hunter had a wonderful birthday with friends and family! We love you all!
Hunter with his friend Aiden Bingham! Hunter had a wonderful birthday and I enjoyed a little break from being in charge of his party this year!
