As we set out on the 15 hour drive from Pima to South Padre Island, Texas we got only about 30 minutes into the trio when we discovered that while loading the Denali, Ella had been so helpful and loaded change into the car DVD player!
Grrrrr.....I wanted to leave a little two year old on the side of the road!
The kids did much better then we anticipated considering they couldn't watch movies. Once we got to San Antonio, which is 11 hours in to the drive Justin was able to tear apart the DVD player. We did split up the long drive into two days. We stayed the night in Ozona, Texas.
To our surprise after Justin got the change out the DVD player still worked. The kids were able to watch a couple of movies as we drove from San Antonio to South Padre Island. Sure hope this isn't a sign of how the rest of our vacation is going to go!!
