Starting Off Spring Break with a BANG!

Some of my greatest friendships have began with a trip to the Tucson Zoo. I guess if you pile all your kids in the car and travel to Tucson for the day............and you still like each other afterwards......................that's a wonderful friend! So that's just what Stacy Moore and I decided to do. Well we were suppose to go to the Science Fair over there to see Hunter's project that won 1st place here. However, we never made it to the science fair because we had to get back early for other things and Hunter chose to stay at the Zoo.
The kids were really good on the drive over. They were so excited to get out and see all their favorite animals. It was a gorgeous day! Most of the pictures I got were of the kids backs because they hated to take their eyes off the animals. We love the Tucson Zoo because it is so cheap!
Now you can't look at a giraffe and not know that Heavenly Father has a great imagination! That is one thing that I love about visiting the zoo, it is a great opportunity to talk with the kids about how creative and smart our Heavenly Father is and they can see fabulous examples right there.
The other thing about the Tucson Zoo is that the animals are so close.
Had to get a picture of cute Branton!
Hunter wore his metal that he got the day before at school. His team won the kick ball tournament! Good Job Hunter!
Look at those handsome boys! Don't know how we are going to feed them all when they are 16, but they sure are cute! Hunter felt bad because Kendall's team was the team they beat in kickball. So he got his swimteam, metal and gave it to Kendall! What a sweetheart!
The kids were so excited to see the baby zebra. She is only 3 weeks old. I love their smiles!
All the kids LOVE the polar bear. It's impressive they can have a polar bear in Arizona I think.
Now these two boys are soul mates from the preexistence. They both have great personalities and just love each other!
This bird surprised Kiersten when it jumped right up next to her. Kiersten brought her notebook and had a wonderful time writing down all the names of the animals she saw.
Hunter is our little artist. He loves to draw and color more then any of the other kids. He just couldn't leave until he had drawn the swimming turtle. Stacy took the other kids to see a couple of animals while I hurried Hunter along.
His master piece! He then had to color it before we could actually leave.
Great Job Hunter!
Branton would not look at me for a picture. So I had to trick him and then of course I get the "what do you think you are doing" look from him.
Brinner age 4
Hunter age 6
Kiersten age 8
Kendall age 8
Logan age 4
Branton age 2
What a bunch of nuts! They belong at the zoo!
Ahhhhhhhh scary creatures!
Stacy and her cute boys minus Kaden, he had school.
Me and the kids, minus Mr. Grant. I had to leave him to have enough room so we could all go in one car. Thanks to my sweet mother-in-law for keeping him for me. She said "he was so good she didn't want to give him back!"
We had a fabulous time!
