Secret Santa's #LighttheWorld

I week or so ago our kids each picked a name from the Christmas tree at El Charro. They decided this year as their Doyle Sock contribution they would buy toys for kids in our area that wouldn't have much Christmas without a secret Santa.

This went right along with the #LighttheWorld objective. The kids were feeling a little extra generous because they ended up picking 6 kids names AND Logan picked a name of a lady in the nursing home (from when he got his arrow of light award a couple of weeks ago). So it ended up we had quite a bit of shopping to do.

Justin has been having to put in some extra, extra long hours at the office the past couple of weeks so he wasn't able to come with us. He definitely contributed though. Without that guy we couldn't afford to be so giving. Thanks Justin for all your hard work!  He works so hard for our family and we appreciate it!

We wrapped more presents for other kids then we did for our own this Christmas. That feels good!!!
We are so grateful that we could give gifts to these children to help make their Christmas bright and to help them feel loved!
God is good!
The Light of Christ does shine!
 So Be That Light!

#LighttheWorld

This is what Christmas is all about!

Logan was so sweet when we took the gift to Mary Ellen in the nursing home. He hugged several of the ladies sitting in their wheelchairs in the hall wall. He has such a tender heart!  He surely make their day. Then as we drove away he said, " Mom I really want to come back there more often and visit those little old ladies!"
He talked about which ones were his favorites but reassured me several times, "Mom I did like ALL the people there."
