Gingerbread House Tradition

For several years we have had the tradition of making gingerbread houses. The kids each get to invite one friend and they each make their own house. The kids love it and look forward to it with such excitement.
Logan and Ryker Hunter and Kendall The little boys just giggled away while making their houses.
Hunter and Kendall were a little more serious.
Mr. Grant just enjoyed the candy he was able to get his hands on!
I was impressed that these little boys even lasted as long as they did decorating.
Hunter has a color scheme and pattern in his mind from the beginning.
Kiersten and Ashlyn Brown
Hunter's finished project
Great job Bud!
Kendall's masterpiece
Logan's
He definitely ate just as much candy as he placed on his house. Every time I looked at him he was putting one candy on his house and one in his mouth!
Ryker's battle field
He was so funny the whole time he kept playing with the cherry licorice bits and saying they were soldiers. There were gun sound effects and everything! Not sure what soldiers and gingerbread houses have in common............but to a 5 year old boy they must!
Kiersten's
She wanted to go play because Ashlyn had to leave early from the party..........so she finished hers later. But great start!
Ashlyn's
She took frosting and tons of candy home because she was so sad to have to leave early.
Kiersten just loves playing with Ashlyn.
